In line with strategy, we’re looking for a Commercial Manager – Supply Chain Transformation to join the Commercial Finance team. This role will enable commercial decision making in the context of significant business initiatives and transformation projects across Supply Chain. This will be achieved through critical financial analysis and provision of strategic insights to support transformational changes and ongoing operations.

What YOUR DAY LOOKS LIKE

  • Embed yourself within project and operational teams to thoroughly understand the challenges and opportunities associated with major initiatives as we all as ongoing operations to enable the provision of value adding financial expertise and insights
  • Drive commercial decisions through comprehensive evaluation of P&L impacts for proposed initiatives. This includes analysing potential uplifts, risks, and mitigation options, with all documentation prepared at a level appropriate for executive-level consumption.
  • Deliver in-depth financial analysis, strategic insights, and decision-support materials in line with project timelines and critical business requirements, including feasibility analysis and post-implementation reviews
  • Lead the provision of ongoing financial insights and performance updates for initiatives, throughout the project lifecycle. This includes monitoring actual results against projections, identifying variances, and recommending course corrections as needed.
  • Identify areas for process improvement or innovative financial approaches that can enhance decision-making for transformational projects as well as ongoing operations. Present recommendations and execute approved changes.
  • Lead preparation of forecasts, budgets and long-term strategic planning for transformational projects and ongoing operations
  • Lead and develop a team of 3 to ensure they are empowered, capable and accountable to deliver on transformational priorities
  • Maintain a safe working environment for team members, contractors and visitors and ensure that others are not put at risk

What YOU’LL NEED TO THRIVE

    • Tertiary Qualification in Accounting/Business, with CA/CPA qualification.
    • Experience working in a commercial finance/partnering role in a complex, multifaceted environment, such as retail or FMCG industry
    • Strong multi-year experience in a supply chain environment (ideally retail/FMCG).
    • Demonstrated capabilities in business partnering, influencing senior stakeholders and driving business transformation objectives through strategic thinking and commercial analysis.
    • Experience in supporting transformational projects or significant business initiatives highly desirable.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in relation to large-scale business initiatives.
    • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
    • Strong financial modelling skills with the ability to handle complex, multi-variable scenarios.
    • Ability to lead planning process for multi-functional projects balancing financial and non-financial considerations as well as clearly articulating assumptions
    • Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple competing projects with varying timelines.
    • Ability to build strong relationships across various business units and work effectively in cross-functional project teams.
