The Role

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a subject matter expert in Dropship to join the business as an Ecommerce Dropship Manager, responsible for ensuring all Dropship and Concession brands are set up for ecommerce success and performance KPI’s are met, in-line with the David Jones Vision2025+.

The role of Ecommerce Dropship Manager will suit a strategically minded, commercial subject matter expert in online brand management, brand onboarding and project management, with exceptional stakeholder management skills.  

What does the role involve?

  • Full ownership for the Dropship model, managing Own Buy and Concession brands that wish to trade on the David Jones online trading channels, achieving revenue, delivery, cancellation and NPS KPI metrics for each brand.
  • Driving clear processes and ensuring best-in-class support is provided to external vendors and internal teams, ensuring all partners adhere to correct processes and procedures, implementing new processes as required.
  • Managing direct reports within the Ecommerce team, to support with the day-to-day management of Dropship brand and concession partners.
  • Managing concession brand relationships; engaging brand stakeholders in performance, strategy and technical reviews; identifying areas of opportunity for performance and improving customer experience.
  • Lead strategic conversations with brand partners and internal merchandise teams to increase brand participation in the Dropship program, to achieve growth targets in revenue and efficiency.
  • Managing the launch and implementation of new brands to the Dropship model, ensuring they are set up correctly with the appropriate product attributes, stock, pricing and policies.
  • Supporting teams in completing end-to-end testing with brand onboarding ahead of Go Live as well as providing hyper-care support through the initial implementation period, acting as key point of contact for troubleshooting for all brands throughout their lifetime as a partner to David Jones’s Dropship program.

Who are we looking for?

  • Experience operating in a similar role, or experience within buying, planning, category management in an online / marketplace environment
  • Experience in leading a team of direct reports
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong presentation and relationship management skills
  • Full competencies on a rage of computer software and programs including Office suite, Site Analytics
  • An understanding of the Ecommerce landscape in Australia and other similar markets
  • Strong activation skills and a desire to execute flawlessly
