An exciting opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative team providing office services to the brand-new David Jones Support Centre based in the heart of Melbourne.

The position of Office Services Assistant will play a pivotal role in supporting the successful operations of our new David Jones Support Centre location. Reporting to the Support Centre Office Lead, you will provide assistance to all aspects of Office Services including supporting facilities and helpdesk teams to ensure efficient office management at our new David Jones Support Centre. We are looking for an organised self-starter who thrives in working in a fast-paced retail environment.

Based in our brand-new office location based at TWO Melbourne Quarter, this role will suit someone looking to grow their experience in a facilities environment.  

In this role you will:

  • Drawing on resources, internal and external, to complete daily tasks
  • Manage Mail/Courier services inbound and outbound of the mail room, including building deliveries
  • Operational responsibility across various rooms including parents' room, prayer room, day to day meeting rooms
  • Working through how to book facilities within the broader building  
  • Supporting staff with desk booking, locker allocation and distribution and end-of-trip facility protocols
  • Review Office Services Contracts; including but not limited to Repairs & Maintenance, Cleaning, organising of Consumables such as stationary, Milk, Tea, Coffee

We are looking for:

  • Previous experience in facilities, or office services role such as mailroom
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • A strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and use of spreadsheets in Excel
  • The ability to influence at all levels and manage key stakeholders
  • Have a demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • A hands-on approach to completing tasks as well as a proactive, ‘can-do’ mindset
  • Experience within the retail industry in a facilities or call centre based role would be advantageous
