The Commercial Finance Manager will be a crucial partner to our Marketing and Finance leaders to support the ongoing delivery of existing programs around Finance Services and Amplify, as well as the development and facilitation of new projects over the next 2 years.  

Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, you will be responsible for partnering with Marketing and Finance leadership teams, to set and manage financial targets and achieve short-term and long-term strategic goals in-line with the Vision 2025+ strategy.  

Based in Melbourne with a hybrid mix of time in the office and from home, this will suit a highly experienced, commercially astute and passionate finance manager to lead our Marketing and Finance teams through the delivery of new projects with a “business-first” outlook.

Responsibilities of the role will include, however will not be limited to:

  • Overall accountability for the delivery of the commercial finance operations across Marketing and Finance business units
  • Support strategic development with appropriate financial insights, analysis and modelling
  • Prepare short-term and long-term financial plans for the marketing and finance business units, ensuring it is clearly linked to Strategy 2025+
  • Support business leaders with commercial advice, insights, analysis and recommendations on key commercial decisions
  • Provide financial support and analysis for key procurement negotiations and to support marketing strategies and targets, identify and drive optimal EBIT outcomes in-line with critical KPI’s
  • Management and development of direct reports through coaching, mentoring and supporting key talent
  • Monthly P&L review of distribution costs and the analysis against forecast and budget

Who are we looking for in the successful candidate?

  • Proven experience in a commercial finance/partnering role in a complex, multifaceted environment
  • Experience with and passion for coaching/leading teams to realise their potential
  • Proven experience in cost optimisation initiatives that drive business performance
  • Proven commercial acumen skills and an ability to influence decision making through data, facts and insights
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to influence key internal/external stakeholders including executive teams
  • Experience in the retail, consumer or FMCG space will be highly regarded
